On Saturday September 9, 2006 at about 9:00am fifteen Brethren set forth (12 in a mini-bus & 3 in a car) from the Square in Mintlaw. Their destination Lodge Ardgowan #1425 in Gourock, Renfrewshire to work a 1st. or Entered Apprentice Degree.
Arriving with virtually no time to spare, we booked into the local Express by Holiday Inn, changed into our glad rags, panicked when D*** C******* discovered he'd come without a shirt (rescued by Joe who had a spare) and waited while N*** K**** had a shave..! Then climbed back on the bus.
On our arrival at arrival at Ardgowan we were warmly greeted, fed and watered.
The degree went in typical Ugie fashion with every Brother performing his part in an impeccable manner.
After the meeting we bustled back on to the bus and off we went to the venue of the harmony (not sure where), where I can safely say a good time was had by all.
So on behalf of all the visiting Brethren I would like to extend our thanks to the Brethren of Lodge Ardgowan #1425, especially Bro. John Brice, for their warm reception and exceptional hospitality.
To commemorate the visit this beautiful engraved ornament was presented to Lodge Ardgowan #1425 on behalf of the visiting Brethren by the R.W.M. Bro. Joe Brice. Graciously accepted by the R.W.M. Bro. Douglas S. Coull .
Unfortunately due to the constraints of time we were unable to get a photograph of the presentation.

The Horn - half way point..!
A welcome break. A coffee, a bacon sandwich and a cigarette and we were off again.
